Although the Alpha Circuit is frequently mentioned on Knight Rider, its true function is never clearly explained. It is most likely part of K.I.T.T.'s main control system which allows the CPU to drive the car. The system is vulnerable to damage, which affects K.I.T.T.'s performance.
